The Jammed 'blasted' onto one screen at the Nova cinema in Melbourne and broke all screen average records for an opening week (for any independent Australian film) thanks to the boost by Margaret and David (AT THE MOVIES - 4 stars) and aided by 4 1/2 stars and reviews from two major papers; Jim Schembri's (The Age)
“Welcome to the best Australian film of the year"

and then (Sydney Morning Herald) George Palathingal's
      “Revelatory & powerful…superbly delivered”.

With theatrical distribution through TITAN VIEW the film went onto a National 20 week run, being supported by a host of human rights groups. DVD went out through Roadshow and was broadcast Channel 9. The Picture Tank, as rights managers, has made THE JAMMED a greater commercial success than all of Screen Australia’s past 32 films (based on percentage of budget and return back from distributors) as reported by Inside Film 11 Dec 2009.
